MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. Poland and its allies have scrambled planes into the air, citing as the reason the activity of Russia’s long-range aviation, the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command said. “We inform that this night (March 22, 2024 – TASS) there is an increased activity of Russia’s long-range aviation . We warn that Polish and allied aviation has been scrambled, which may lead to increased noise levels, especially in the southeastern part of the country,” the command said in a statement on its X page. This is the second time over the last 24 hours that the Polish armed forces have used this measure. At the end of December 2023, the operational command reported that the Polish air borders had been violated by an unknown object. Later, Polish President Andrzej Duda convened an emergency meeting with the leadership of the Defense Ministry. The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish armed forces, General Wieslaw Kukula, said that a Russian missile had allegedly been found in the country’s airspace. After inspecting the area where the missile was seen entering the airspace from Ukraine, Polish servicemen did not find anything that posed a threat.
