Ekin-Su ‘withdrawn’ from Celebrity Big Brother final amid ‘tough time’ after backlash

webnexttech | Ekin-Su 'withdrawn' from Celebrity Big Brother final amid 'tough time' after backlash

Struggling Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has pulled out of her Celebrity Big Brother final commitments following the post-eviction backlash. She will not appear on Friday, just days after she didn’t show up for her scheduled appearance on Lorraine. The star didn’t address her no show, and has raised concerned after keeping a low profile. A source said: ‘It’s been a bit of a tough couple of weeks for Ekin-Su. “She could have played the sob story card but has remained tight-lipped publicly and expressed to those around that she’s aware she must be accountable for a few things that have happened,” they told MailOnline. “Understandably she is feeling vulnerable, but is using this time to gather her thoughts, and figure out next steps, which is why her management believes withdrawing her from the final is the most sensible move.” She has reportedly asked her management team for “some time to reflect” and doesn’t want to appear on Friday’s night final, a week on from her eviction. It comes after Layton Williams slammed Ekin-Su for ‘blaming the edit’ over what happened in the house with Marisha Wallace prior to the eviction, during an awkward moment on spin-off series Late & Live. Big Brother host AJ Odudu also appeared to question Ekin-Su over the comments about viewers not seeing everything, leaving viewers divided over how the interview went. Levi Roots bluntly told Ekin-Su to be a ‘new you’ and become a ‘better person’ – as it doesn’t seem like the old her is working. The 65-year-old got the boot on Friday night along with the Love Island star and he says he will reach out to her once the dust has settled on their eviction. Levi has already offered her some advice after she was left stunned by the crowd reaction following her Celebrity Big Brother exit. Her co-star says he will be in touch and said: “I’ve not spoken to Ekin-Su since I’ve been out of the house. I’m putting Big Brother behind me for a couple of days, but I took her under my wing. I had to protect her. She felt like she was isolated and I didn’t want her feeling that she was alone. I was judging her on her time in the house, not Love Island. “When we came out I was telling her it would be fine and to just ‘be you’ or just ‘be a new you’ – as it seems like the old one didn’t work based upon what people were saying and the reaction when she came out. I was trying to give some words of wisdom and to make her into a better person. I will contact her when I’m ready,” he told the Mirror at a press round table. * This is a breaking showbiz news story.
